Proton hosts Flock camera map worldwide amid legal threats

a Flock camera mounted on a pole Image: Primary
Proton has begun hosting a worldwide-accessible copy of a Flock surveillance camera map built by security researcher Joshua Michael from leaked data, Tom's Hardware reports. Flock sent Michael a cease-and-desist letter, while his original map remains online but is accessible only from within the United States. Proton hosts its version in Switzerland and lets users search by ZIP code for Flock license plate readers. The map uses data from November 2025, making it a historical snapshot rather than a live record of camera locations.
