ChatGPT's macOS desktop app now includes an Apple Messages plugin that can read and search iMessage, SMS, and RCS conversations on a Mac, then prepare or send messages through the Messages app, according to 9to5Mac. Sending is gated by user approval by default. The feature is available across plans on Apple silicon Macs, including ChatGPT Work and Codex, but not regular ChatGPT chats.
