Perplexity brings Personal Computer AI agent to Windows for Max users

Perplexity expanded its agentic Personal Computer tool to Windows, letting PCs run as a locally operated AI system that can work with local files and apps, The Verge reported. Like the Mac version launched in April, Personal Computer for Windows is described as a general-purpose digital worker that can create documents and update spreadsheets on a user's behalf. The release follows May integrations with Microsoft 365 workspace apps and Teams and is meant to reach enterprise work that often sits on local Windows machines. Perplexity said Microsoft users can ask Computer to work across local files, Microsoft Office 365, and the web in one place. The Windows tool is rolling out to paying Max and Enterprise Max users on subscription tiers that start from $200 per month. The company says the tool does not train on company data and always notifies users before sensitive actions such as sending email or deleting files.
