DFINITY connector lets Claude query and update participating ICP apps

Internet Computer connects to Claude AI through DFINITY's MCP connector for on-chain application interaction Image: Primary
DFINITY introduced an Internet Computer connector on October 30 that lets Claude users query blockchain applications and perform authorized updates, Altcoin Buzz reported. The connector is available in Claude's connector directory and connects the assistant to participating applications through a DFINITY-hosted server using the Model Context Protocol. Users authenticate through Internet Identity and choose either information-only access or permission to make changes. Authorizations expire, can be revoked and do not share users' long-term credentials with the assistant. Developers must make applications discoverable and expose supported functions before Claude can interact with them. The connector excludes application funding, creation and deployment, while allowing approved changes through functions that participating applications expose.
