Huawei reportedly bids to supply Egypt government AI data centers
Image: Primary Huawei has bid to build AI data centers for Egypt's government, according to Bloomberg reporting summarized by The Next Web. The proposal would supply 1,408 Ascend 950-series chips for an AI training cloud and another 600 chips for two inference clusters, with a stated 12-month build. The U.S. State Department has contacted Nvidia, AMD and Microsoft about a possible rival consortium, the report said. Egypt has not said which proposal it prefers.
