AWS lets more Oracle database customers disable automatic minor upgrades

AWS now lets Amazon RDS for Oracle customers disable automatic minor version upgrades on new and existing database instances using the JVM, Spatial, Locator or OLAP options. Those options previously required automatic minor upgrades, so the change gives customers control over when to apply them. The change covers all commercial AWS Regions and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions where RDS for Oracle is available. AWS recommends that customers who disable automatic upgrades regularly apply new minor versions to retain the latest Oracle security fixes.
