Zerra DC files Queensland plans for four-phase AI data-center campus

Zerra DC files Queensland plans for four-phase AI data-center campus Image: DCD
Zerra DC has filed plans with the Western Downs Regional Council for the Western Downs Digital Park in Queensland, Australia. The proposed campus would include up to four phases of AI-ready data centers and could cost more than AU$31 billion at full build-out. Its first phase would include a 36,000-square-meter data center, battery-backed power conditioning, a 540MVA substation, and supporting infrastructure. Zerra says the planned data centers would use air cooling rather than water-based evaporative cooling.
