Micron plans $10 billion research-lab investment
Image: Primary Micron announced plans to invest $10 billion over 10 years in Micron Research Labs, an initiative for future memory, computing, packaging and semiconductor-manufacturing technologies outside its current product roadmaps. The company says the program will work with customers, government organizations, startups, universities and other partners on pre-competitive intellectual property. A Boise facility near Micron's R&D center is expected to break ground in 2027, alongside a wider network of collaborations and satellite labs.
