Schwarz Group commits €5.6bn to planned 240MW German data center
Image: DCD Schwarz Group says it will invest €5.6 billion in a planned 240MW data center in Dummersdorf, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, by 2033 under a new partnership with the state government. The project could expand to 1GW by 2045 and has a possible 380kV grid connection. Schwarz also signed a letter of intent with Rostock municipal utilities for waste-heat reuse. The group intends to use the site itself rather than operate it for colocation customers.
