ASI deploys autonomous tractor fleet with U.S. Sugar
Image: Primary Autonomous Solutions Inc., U.S. Sugar and Everglades Equipment Group said they deployed what they describe as the largest autonomous vehicle fleet in U.S. sugarcane farming across hundreds of thousands of acres in South Florida.
U.S. Sugar's John Deere tractors use ASI's Mobius fleet-orchestration system for land preparation and sugarcane cultivation. ASI said the tractors are operating beyond standard working hours and delivering greater land-preparation accuracy than human operators. U.S. Sugar said it will retain and retrain current tractor operators for supervisory roles.
The companies plan expansion over U.S. Sugar's 255,000-acre footprint.
