Submersion AI introduces Basin security model for customer-run systems
Image: Primary Submersion AI has introduced Basin, a security model that it says can test running software and validate exploitable flaws within a customer's own infrastructure. The company also offers a hosted API, while local deployment gives security teams a way to keep sensitive target data inside their networks.
Submersion says Basin scored 80.8% on the CyberGym benchmark and found vulnerabilities in Snipe-IT and BookStack. Its reported Snipe-IT flaw requires an authenticated superadministrator to upload a malicious backup, a condition that narrows who could exploit it.
