29 NHS trusts dispute use of Palantir platform despite benefits listing

29 NHS trusts dispute use of Palantir platform despite benefits listing Image: Primary
Twenty-nine hospital trusts listed by NHS England as benefiting from Palantir's data platform said it was not live or they used none of its applications, the Guardian reported, citing freedom of information responses obtained by campaigning charity Medact. The Office for Statistics Regulation will examine the benefits claim. The £330m platform began rolling out in April 2024 to connect medical records and improve hospital operations. NHS England says its list includes back-office data uses; it counts Torbay and South Devon as live because data-submission systems are in place, despite the trust reporting no operational use. Palantir cites 117,000 additional operations at participating trusts. NHS England cautions that its before-and-after figures cannot establish cause and effect.
