Bilt announced its acquisition of LAVA in a transaction valued at $300 million, bringing the sports loyalty technology platform into its neighborhood commerce and rewards business. The company says LAVA brings relationships with 56 professional sports franchises across the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS. LAVA lets teams and venues recognize customers, personalize benefits and manage loyalty programs. Its more than 300 technology adapters connect existing ticketing, payments, identity and other business systems rather than requiring their replacement. Bilt says its own network connects more than 7 million members with more than 50,000 merchant partners.
