SK hynix says contracts cover more than half its 2027-2028 capacity

SK hynix says contracts cover more than half its 2027-2028 capacity Image: Primary
SK hynix said it has signed long-term agreements with 14 major customers covering more than 50% of its total production capacity for 2027 and 2028. The agreements include a mechanism that adjusts prices to market conditions within an agreed range. The memory supplier reported preliminary third-quarter revenue of 104.6155 trillion won and operating profit of 83.3338 trillion won, increases of 32% and 38% from the previous quarter. It attributed the results to rising AI memory demand and higher-value products. SK hynix plans to ramp M15X to maximum capacity by year-end to increase HBM4 production. It expects demand to exceed supply through 2030 because advanced manufacturing is technically difficult and new facilities take time to build.
