Check Point subscription revenue rises 11% as total sales decline

Check Point Software reported third-quarter security subscription revenue of $339 million, up 11% year over year, while total revenue fell 1% to $670 million. Its remaining performance obligations-the value of contracted products and services not yet recognized as revenue-rose 5% to $2.5 billion. The company recognized a $25 million reduction in research and development expenses under Israel's new tax incentive program. Eligible credits can offset taxes, with unused credits convertible into cash grants after a defined period. CEO Nadav Zafrir said the recovery was taking longer than anticipated and forecast gradual revenue improvement beginning in the fourth quarter.
