Tata Elxsi deploys edge-to-cloud system for automated plant safety alerts

Tata Elxsi says its IRIS platform now analyzes industrial camera feeds continuously and generates critical safety alerts within five seconds. Edge servers filter video locally, sending selected frames and metadata to AWS, where computer-vision models detect protective-equipment, restricted-zone and vehicle-proximity risks before a correlation layer suppresses repeated or low-confidence alerts. The company reports production throughput of 2,000-5,000 events per second per deployment and an under-3% false-positive rate after correlation. Those performance and accuracy figures come from Tata Elxsi's own deployments and held-out validation sets rather than independent testing.
