Anthropic Expands Claude Integrations to Lifestyle Apps Including Spotify and Instacart

Anthropic Expands Claude Integrations to Lifestyle Apps Including Spotify and Instacart Image: Primary
Anthropic is expanding its directory of connected services for its Claude AI chatbot to include lifestyle and consumer applications. The platform can now link up with accounts on AllTrails, Audible, Booking.com, Instacart, Intuit Credit Karma, Intuit TurboTax, Resy, Spotify, StubHub, Taskrabbit, Thumbtack, TripAdvisor, Uber, Uber Eats and Viator. Additional services will be added in the future. This expansion takes Claude's connector capability from professional and educational settings into personal ones. For instance, Claude can now help plan a hike on AllTrails and then pull up a Spotify playlist matched to the duration of the trek. Anthropic noted that it is reframing how apps appear so that an appropriate service is suggested for the task at hand. The apps should appear dynamically within the Claude conversation rather than requiring users to swipe between programs. As with most AI actions, Claude is supposed to check with its user before taking actions like securing a reservation or making a purchase. The move follows a broader industry push among AI companies to add third-party integrations in an effort to make their services more useful for everyday tasks.
