Nothing launches Essential Voice AI dictation tool for its smartphones

Nothing launches Essential Voice AI dictation tool for its smartphones Image: Primary
Nothing has launched Essential Voice, an AI-powered dictation tool that converts speech into formatted text across any app. The feature removes filler words and allows users to create custom voice shortcuts for frequently used words, links, and phrases. The tool is available first on the Phone (3), with rollout to the Phone (4a) Pro planned for later this month and Phone (4a) support coming next month. Users activate it through the Essential key or from the keyboard. Essential Voice also offers real-time translation across more than 100 languages. Nothing said it plans to add app-based custom styling that will let users adjust the tone of AI editing for different contexts such as work and messaging. The launch follows Google's recent release of an offline dictation app and Superwhisper's action key integration for iPhone, signaling growing competition in system-level voice input.
