ChatGPT Health is rolling out widely, but Android users won't be too happy

OpenAI announced Thursday that ChatGPT Health is rolling out to everyone in the United States aged 18 or older. The feature will be available on the web and on the ChatGPT mobile apps for Android and iOS using the company's latest GPT-5.5 Instant and GPT-5.6 Sol models for medical queries. Users can connect health data from sources such as Apple Health, One Medical, Function Health and supported U.S. hospital systems. The service allows users to ask for medical help and advice, including comparing test results with prior tests and analyzing sleep, workout and activity data. OpenAI said it worked with physicians who extensively tested the feature before release. The company also offers an option to access health data outside the dedicated Health feature to provide customized responses during normal conversations. However, the service currently does not support Google Health. OpenAI was recently sued after ChatGPT allegedly offered dangerous medical recommendations to a user, leading to a delay in treatment for a pulmonary embolism.
