Anthropic Signs Multiyear Deal to Rent CoreWeave AI Computing Capacity

Anthropic PBC has agreed to a multiyear deal to rent data center capacity from CoreWeave Inc. to handle increasing demand for its artificial intelligence services. The agreement will help Anthropic build and deploy its Claude AI models, CoreWeave announced Friday. The capacity will include Nvidia chip architectures at data centers in the United States. CoreWeave CEO Michael Intrator confirmed the deal includes a variety of Nvidia chip architectures but declined to disclose financial terms. The deal adds to Anthropic's growing list of infrastructure partnerships as the AI company scales its operations. The partnership comes as Anthropic continues expanding access to its Claude models and develops new capabilities. The company recently announced its Claude Mythos Preview model, a cybersecurity-focused AI system being distributed through its Project Glasswing initiative to 40 technology companies. CoreWeave, which went public earlier this year, specializes in providing cloud computing infrastructure optimized for AI workloads. The company has built out significant data center capacity featuring Nvidia GPUs to serve AI companies needing computing resources. Anthropic has been securing multiple infrastructure partnerships to support its AI model development and deployment. Last week, Broadcom confirmed it would ship Google TPU chips to Anthropic as part of a separate arrangement.
