Amp adds Claude subscription access for coding tasks

Amp Integrates Claude Pro/Max Subscription for AI Coding | KuCoin Image: Primary
Amp has added a Claude Code mode that lets users charge model usage to their existing Claude Pro or Max subscription instead of buying additional Amp credits, Gold Finance reported. Users select the mode when creating a task and link their Claude account. The mode runs official Claude Code through the Claude Agent SDK while retaining Amp's cloud computer, task sharing, collaboration and agent orchestration features. Local execution is free, but cloud computer usage still costs money. Subscription access does not extend to Amp's Medium, High or Ultra modes. Anthropic's official documentation still requires prior approval for third-party products to offer Claude login or access to subscription quotas.
