Remote says revenue per employee rose 50% as AI changes hiring plans

Remote says revenue per employee has risen 50% after adopting AI across its operations, with no layoffs, SaaStr reported. The global payroll company is reassessing planned hiring, asking departments whether to spend on employee training and AI instead of adding staff. Some planned roles were not filled. Chief executive Job van der Voort says AI wrote more than 85% of the company's code in the last month. Remote also provides an interface that lets AI agents access payroll and compliance data with permissions attached, although its security model remains unproven at enterprise scale.
