Nano-core Chip raises more than RMB 1 billion for development and production

Hangzhou-based AI inference chip developer Nano-core Chip announced on October 28 that it had raised more than RMB 1 billion in Series C2 funding. JianTou Investment led the round, with participation from Hangzhou Capital, Kaitai Capital and other investors. The proceeds will fund product development and preparation for volume production. The company develops chips combining computing near and within memory with RISC-V processing, targeting devices and cloud infrastructure. It said its first three chips had completed tape-out, the design milestone before fabrication, with customer sampling and initial volume shipments planned for early 2027. The financing follows a RMB 1 billion Series C1 round announced in September.
