Polyend published firmware source code for the original Tracker, Tracker+ and Tracker Mini on GitHub and released Tracker Community Edition 1.0. Owners can install the firmware, modify it and share their versions; a recovery system is designed to prevent faulty builds from disabling the instruments. The release adds SD-card streaming for long audio samples and a plugin development kit that lets developers build, share and sell effects and generators. Tracker+ and Tracker Mini also gain CHIP and DIRT synthesizers and a development kit for custom synth engines.
