NVIDIA Announces Financial Results for First Quarter Fiscal 2027

NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) reported record revenue of $81.6 billion for the first quarter ended April 26, 2026, up 20 percent from the previous quarter and 85 percent from a year earlier. GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins were 74.9 percent and 75.0 percent. GAAP and non-GAAP earnings per diluted share were $2.39 and $1.87. NVIDIA returned approximately $20.0 billion to shareholders in the form of shares repurchased and cash dividends. The company had $38.5 billion remaining under its share repurchase The company is increasing its quarterly cash dividend to $0.25 per share from $0.01 per share of common stock. The dividend will be paid on June 26, 2026, to all shareholders of record on June 4, 2026. NVIDIA is transitioning to a new reporting framework with two market platforms, Data Center and Edge Computing. Data Center revenue was a record $75.2 billion, up 21 percent from the previous quarter and 92 percent from a year earlier. Edge Computing revenue totaled $6.4 billion, up 10 percent from the previous quarter and 29 percent from a year earlier. For the second quarter of fiscal 2027, revenue is expected to be $91.0 billion, plus or minus 2 percent. The company is not assuming any Data Center compute revenue from China in its outlook. GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins are expected to be 74.9 percent and 75.0 percent, plus or minus 50 basis points, with operating expenses of approximately $8.5 billion and $8.3 billion.
