Bedrock begins paid autonomous-equipment deployments
Bedrock Robotics has begun its first paid commercial deployments of autonomous construction equipment, according to its chief executive. The company retrofits excavators and other heavy machinery with cameras, LiDAR, Nvidia-powered compute and its own software. Bedrock says the systems are intended for construction sites, where shortages of skilled equipment operators and demand for data-center and other infrastructure projects are creating an opening for automated machinery.
