Tesla reportedly ends orders for Solar Roof tiles
Image: Primary Tesla has reportedly stopped taking orders for its Solar Roof tiles and will supply conventional solar panels instead, according to sources cited by Electrek. Tesla has not formally announced the discontinuation, but its Solar Roof webpage now redirects to its solar-panel page and Solar Roof no longer appears in Tesla Energy navigation. The product entered mass production in 2020 after its 2016 unveiling; a 2023 estimate cited in the report put US installations at 3,000 homes.
