Globus Medical agrees to acquire Synaptive for cranial surgery technology

Globus Medical agrees to acquire Synaptive for cranial surgery technology Image: Primary
Globus Medical has agreed to acquire Synaptive Medical, adding visualization, navigation and surgical planning platforms for cranial neurosurgery, Yahoo Finance reported. The agreement would broaden Globus's technology portfolio beyond its existing spine and robotics offerings. Synaptive's tools target complex cranial procedures and would sit alongside Globus's Excelsius robotics platform and existing implants. The expansion adds another integration task as analysts have already flagged integration risk and volatility in Globus's Enabling Technologies and Nevro businesses.
