SpaceXAI plans two additional Colossus 2 data center sites in Southaven, Mississippi, that will host approximately 420,000 Nvidia GB300 GPUs between them, Elon Musk said, according to DCD. The Gun Range site will support AI training, while a former warehouse called Spam will be optimized for inference. Musk said Gun Range is tracking to become operational by the end of November and Spam in December. The expansion comes amid environmental scrutiny: Mississippi regulators have alleged construction began without required stormwater permit coverage and seek civil penalties across three sites.
