SemiAnalysis estimates China's operational compute capacity at 24 GW

China has 24 GW of operational compute capacity and another 50 GW planned or under construction, compared with 56 GW operational in the United States, the Financial Times reported, citing SemiAnalysis. Beijing is expanding AI infrastructure in Inner Mongolia; the additional Chinese capacity includes projects that are still planned or being built.
