Dialybrid raises €15 million as dialysis graft enters first human trial
Image: Primary Dialybrid closed a €15 million Series A and implanted the first patient in an Italian pilot trial of its Silkothane arteriovenous graft, the medical-device company said Tuesday. XGEN Venture led the round, with CDP Venture Capital's Rilancio Fund participating.
The company will use the capital for clinical development of the graft as vascular access for hemodialysis and preclinical work on other vascular uses of Silkothane, a hybrid of silk fibroin and polyurethane. The trial is still enrolling, and the device must progress through clinical testing toward regulatory approval.
