Envision says it has deployed 800-volt DC power at Galaxy AI data center

Envision Energy Dubhe power technology Image: Primary
Envision Energy says it has completed a commercial deployment of an integrated 800-volt DC power system at its Galaxy AI data center in Ulanqab, China. The company says the system supports denser computing racks while reducing power-conversion equipment and cabling requirements. The system converts 10kV alternating current directly to an 800V direct-current bus. Batteries provide second-scale power support and minute-scale backup, while millisecond-level coordination between storage and the transformer absorbs GPU load fluctuations locally. Envision has been testing the controller at Galaxy since August. The campus is planned to scale to 3GW and support up to one million AI accelerators; those figures describe expansion plans rather than deployed capacity.
