Northside Independent School District says it will begin rolling out ChatGPT for Teachers in October under a partnership with OpenAI. The San Antonio district, which serves about 97,600 students and has roughly 13,000 employees, says use will be optional for teachers. The district says it expects a managed environment with security, privacy and accessibility controls; OpenAI says information in the education workspace is not used to train its models by default. NISD says it will assess adoption and value after rollout.
