Zhone has acquired Tellabs, combining communications technology vendors headquartered in the Dallas tech corridor, transaction adviser Bowen announced. Bowen served as Tellabs' exclusive merger and acquisition adviser. The acquisition adds Tellabs to the Zhone / NetComm portfolio, expanding its offerings across fiber-optic broadband, fiber extension, fixed wireless, in-home Wi-Fi and fiber LAN solutions. Tellabs brings 51 years of communications technology and customer and partner relationships spanning hundreds of enterprises, government organizations and service providers.
