C.H. Robinson and RXO announced a definitive acquisition agreement with an implied stock-and-cash value of $5.8 billion. The transaction would combine trucking brokerage and managed transportation businesses with C.H. Robinson's global forwarding network and RXO's expedited and last-mile services. C.H. Robinson expects approximately $300 million in net run-rate cost synergies within two years after closing by applying its Lean AI operating model, improving operations and reducing shared-service and third-party costs. The acquisition would also expand datasets used in AI-driven sales, matching and procurement. Closing is expected in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approval, RXO shareholder approval and customary conditions.
