AWS Backup extends automated restore testing to Redshift

AWS says AWS Backup now supports automated restore testing for Amazon Redshift, allowing customers to check whether backups restore successfully and measure restoration time. Customers can include Redshift in testing plans alongside other supported storage, compute, and database resources. Plans select recovery points, schedule restores, and compare completion time with customers' recovery time objectives. Customers can choose the latest or a random eligible recovery point and optionally validate restored resources before AWS Backup deletes the test resources. The capability is available in regions where AWS Backup supports both restore testing and Amazon Redshift.
