Korean industry group seeks narrower duties for internal AI tools Image: Primary
The Korea Federation of Industries submitted 19 proposals to the Ministry of Science and ICT seeking changes to AI Framework Act requirements, Herald Business reported. The federation wants ordinary internal AI tools treated differently from external services and responsibilities divided according to developers' and service providers' control. Pharmaceutical and biotech companies also seek clearer exemptions for research uses such as preclinical toxicity prediction. Current guidelines exempt AI used as a research and development tool, but firms say they need specific examples to determine whether their systems qualify.
