Samsung Wallet adds digital keys for select Cadillac electric vehicles

Owners of compatible Samsung devices in the US and Canada can now lock, unlock and start select GM vehicles with digital keys in Samsung Wallet, The Verge reported. Supported Cadillac electric vehicles include the 2025-2027 Lyriq, 2026-2027 Optic and 2027 Vistiq. GM says the keys allow doors to unlock automatically as owners approach and lock as they walk away. Owners can share keys and suspend or delete them if a device is stolen. The feature requires a Samsung Galaxy device with both ultra-wideband and Bluetooth Low Energy. GM also plans Apple Wallet and Google Wallet support, but their current availability is unclear.
