Infineon completes C2i acquisition for AI server power control Image: Primary
Infineon Technologies has completed its acquisition of Bengaluru-based C2i Semiconductors, bringing digital power control technology and its engineering team into Infineon's Power Systems division, eeNews Europe reports. The deal also expands Infineon's research and development presence in India. C2i's technology uses digital controls and algorithms to adjust power conversion and regulation as processor demand changes. Infineon plans to combine it with its silicon, silicon carbide and gallium nitride power chips. The teams will also work on technologies that place voltage regulation closer to processors. Financial terms were not disclosed.
