Atlassian expands MCP access to enterprise workflows with 220+ tools

Atlassian expands MCP access to enterprise workflows with 220+ tools Image: Primary
Atlassian says its rebuilt MCP server is generally available, giving AI clients such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor access to more Atlassian products through 220+ tools. The server lets assistants retrieve workplace information and execute tasks across products, including inspecting Bitbucket Cloud pull requests and turning Loom transcripts into Jira work items and Confluence pages. Access follows existing user permissions, with separate scopes for reading, writing and destructive actions. Document edits pause when a teammate has changed the page to prevent overwrites. Atlassian reports savings of up to 25% in tokens against the previous version for the same Jira and Confluence work, based on internal Claude benchmarks. Jira Service Management support is coming soon.
