VitalFluid secures €17.2 million for plasma-based crop-protection rollout
Image: Primary VitalFluid, an Eindhoven startup, secured €17.2 million to accelerate commercialization of plasma-activated-water crop protection, according to EU-Startups. The round was co-led by Invest-NL and Alder Tree Investments and includes a €2.7 million RVO innovation credit. The company says its systems make the treatment from water, air and electricity, and reports deployments on more than 100 hectares of commercial strawberry production in the UK. It plans UK growth, U.S. expansion and rollout to strawberries, apples and grapes.
