AMD closes $4.75 billion senior-notes offering

Advanced Micro Devices closed a $4.75 billion public offering of unsecured senior notes on Aug. 17, according to an SEC filing. The issuance includes $1.25 billion of 4.600% notes due 2029, $1.50 billion of 5.000% notes due 2031, $1 billion of 5.250% notes due 2033 and $1 billion of 5.500% notes due 2036. AMD said it intends to use net proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include debt repayment. The notes are governed by an existing indenture supplemented on the closing date.
