Nvidia says GPT-6 Astra Ultrafast is available with up to 8x faster generation

Nvidia says GPT-6 Astra Ultrafast is available with up to 8x faster generation Image: Primary
GPT-6 Astra Ultrafast is available in the OpenAI API and to eligible ChatGPT Work and Codex users, Nvidia announced. The company says the mode delivers up to 8x faster token generation than Astra Standard while running on Blackwell GPUs. OpenAI used its own models to optimize inference software for Nvidia hardware. Faster generation can shorten the response intervals between tool calls in coding agents' edit, test and debug workflows. API access is available now, while access through ChatGPT Work and Codex is limited to eligible users.
