A Swedish consortium launched Sferical One, a shared supercomputer with 1,152 GPUs, NVIDIA said. Ericsson, AstraZeneca, Saab, SEB and Wallenberg Investments anchor the consortium, with SKF as a strategic partner. The system runs on two NVIDIA DGX SuperPODs with 16 racks of NVIDIA DGX GB300 systems. The consortium plans to build services using NVIDIA Nemotron open models, allowing researchers to customize and deploy models in a secure environment. Those services are planned work beyond the launch of the shared computing system.
