Seedance 2.0 Launches: Redefining AI Video via Director Mode

Seedance AI unveiled Seedance 2.0 on February 12, 2026. The update introduces Director Mode for professional creators. The Director Control Panel allows adjustment of physical movement, camera trajectories, and lighting dynamics via parameter-level controls. The Head of Product at Seedance said the company has listened to feedback from tens of thousands of creators. The update ensures the AI understands the director's specific intent. Seedance 2.0 includes a visual anchoring algorithm for character consistency. It retains facial features, clothing details, and body proportions across shots. The update supports complex camera movements with precision. Users specify the speed and angle of pans, tilts, and zooms. Keyframe Control defines start and end points for motion. Seedance 2.0 outputs native 4K resolution. Texture detail increases by 300 percent. Maximum duration for a single generation has been extended with an infinite extend feature. The platform supports export of depth maps and alpha masks. This enables compositing in After Effects or Nuke. Seedance 2.0 is available in public beta for global subscribers.
