ARIA sets human-performance test for Australian music charts
Image: Primary Australia's recording-industry body ARIA said wholly AI-generated tracks will be ineligible for its official music charts and awards from Monday. Under its test, qualifying tracks must have humans write the song and perform the lead vocal and primary instruments. The rule does not bar all AI use: the supplied report says AI may still be used for mastering, drum machines, and auto-tune. ARIA also requires eligible music to use legal AI services.
