Perplexity has added Portable Computer to its Windows app for compatible Nvidia GeForce RTX PCs and RTX PRO workstations, according to Nvidia. The local agent can analyze files and perform multistep tasks on-device, while cloud escalation requires user permission. Nvidia says the release supports GPUs with at least 24GB of VRAM and includes connectors for services including Outlook, OneDrive, Google Drive, Gmail, Slack and GitHub. The availability and performance framing are company claims.
