SAP and Databricks plan additional AI and data tools for SAP customers

SAP and Databricks plan additional AI and data tools for SAP customers Image: Primary
SAP and Databricks expanded their partnership to bring four additional tools to SAP Databricks, Databricks said Friday. The additions include Genie, an AI assistant; Lakeflow, which builds data pipelines; Unity Gateway, which manages AI agents and costs; and Lakebase, a database for AI applications. SAP also unveiled Application Data Foundation to make data in its cloud and on-premises business software easier to access. Databricks says customers have needed custom pipelines to extract that data, losing business context along the way. The companies also plan to connect Genie with SAP's Joule assistant so answers can appear inside SAP software. Neither company gave release dates.
