Five technology giants commit more than $3T to future spending Image: Primary
Alphabet, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon and Oracle have committed more than $3T to future spending on data centres, leases, equipment and energy, The Next Web reported, citing Bloomberg. Alphabet accounts for more than $1T and Meta for more than $800B. Future leases total $1.3T, while other orders account for $1.9T. Some leases run for 30 years. The companies report commitments differently, and some spending covers hardware and content rather than data centres. A July tally totalled about $2.4T but included only four companies, excluding Oracle.
