Synopsys signed a multi-year agreement with Amazon worth more than $1 billion for custom silicon and cloud infrastructure work, CoinCentral reported. Synopsys says the partnership will accelerate custom chip development and support more complex AI products and cloud infrastructure projects. Under the agreement, Synopsys is adopting Amazon's cloud storage services and will use Amazon Bedrock to add AI capabilities to its own tools. The companies announced the partnership on Wednesday alongside Synopsys' separate agreement with OpenAI to develop a chip design model.
